Uses: Rosemary is used as a medicinal herb, it has long been recommended for strengthening the brain and memory. Rosemary contains substances that are useful for improving digestion and increasing circulation.

In cooking, rosemary is used as a seasoning in a variety of dishes, such as soups, casseroles, salads, and stews. Use rosemary with chicken and other poultry, lamb, pork, steaks, and fish, especially oily fish. It also goes well with grains, mushrooms, onions, peas, potatoes, and spinach.

Sunlight: Rosemary enjoys full sunlight. Indoors, place near sunny window or sunny patio.

Humidity: Ensure proper air circulation is provided and mist with water weekly.

Soil: Our herb garden contains well drain soil which is ideal for growth. Once per week lightly till the soil around the plant. This achieves aeration which allows air, water and nutrients to penetrate the roots. This helps the roots grow deeply and produce a stronger, more vigorous herb garden.

Water: Rosemary is relatively drought-tolerant. Let the soil dry out between each watering; rosemary does its best when the soil is not overly moist.

Nutrients: Our Herb Garden doesn’t require immediate plant food, as our potting soil already contains a slow-release plant food that can last up to 6 months. If plant food is needed or your herb plant shows signs of stress like yellowing foliage, you can add your favourite compost, or use an organic liquid plant food or a weak solution of an all-purpose water-soluble fertilizer.

Harvest: Its needle-like leaves grow thickly along its stems, so there isn't necessarily a perfect spot to cut it. The plant will naturally branch off from wherever you clip. Just don't clip an entire stem all the way back to the base of the plant; you want to encourage future growth.
