Soil Quality - ensure your garden soil is full of organic matter (garden waste or animal manure) as this material will help your soil hold water.
Mulch - provide a protective layer of material (bark chips, pea gravel, leaves, seaweed etc.) that is spread 3-6 inches deep on the top of the exposed soil. Mulch helps preserve water and regulate the temperature in your soil.
Target your watering - When watering your plants use a watering can to avoid over-watering, which prevents the wastage of water. Water conservation is key in the dry season.
Happy Gardening 🌱!
